That's A Wrap!

Happy New Year from all of us at the Three Village Farmers Market! I'm sure you are as excited as we are to be waving goodbye to 2020 and looking forward to all the opportunities 2021 holds!

More than ever we are grateful to you for sticking with us through our not always perfect Fridays. We continue to strive, every week, to get it right. We apologize for the weeks when we don't quite hit the mark. but, we thankfully celebrate all the weeks when we do!

Every time you shop with our TVM outdoor Market or online with our TVMobile Market this season you help our vendors continue to do what they love. Your purchase is an important part of the financial support that keeps our farmers, makers, bakers and suppliers, including their workers, and all those families, afloat during this crazy year.  Your choice to shop with us truly makes a difference.

Each and every one of our outdoor market programs (music, kids club, frequent shopper program…) was impacted in some way by the Covid-19 pandemic.  Early on you completed our Survey responding to questions about how (or IF) we should continue to operate as an outdoor community market and we did our best to comply.

Here are just a few responses we came up with from your suggestions:

In March we organized our mobile market and continued it for the the entirety of 2020

We created a socially distant out-door space for our community to safely gather as our dedicated team pivoted with new ideas to get us started quickly.

Market activities including music and kids programming were set aside for later.

We brought you some new vendors such as, 4E Green Farm,  seafood from Violet Cove OystersNo Gluten Kneaded, All American Wontons, fresh pasta and ravioli from Papa Pasquale direct from Brooklyn, and of course our newest addition - Eggcellent Quiche

Building community connections is always a treasure.

In 2020 we had to take many different paths to reach our destination and working with the community has been one of this most powerful experiences of this year, we’d like to thank the partners we’ve worked with along the way:—I hope we’ve done them justice.

We will always be grateful to the team of volunteers who supported TVM with deliveries and our mobile market

We partnered with Gallery North and supported their Annual Outdoor art Show and Music Festival —sans the music per New York guidelines.

We are indebted to the Three Village Historical Society for providing a property with such a deep and rich history and allowed us to call this property our home.

We are proud to be a member of the National Farmers Market Coalition and able to keep up to date on the conversations around COVID-19 and the farmers market sector in general, sharing knowledge, asking questions, and networking with other #farmersmarket professionals.

We introduced the Farmers Market Nutrition program —giving eligible senior shoppers coupons to buy local fruits and vegetables  – for FREE!  Sponsored by the Department of Agriculture.

We loved partnering with the Long Island Explorium and gave away native plant seedlings!

We were proud to partner with Stony Brook Hospital bringing you delicious Holliday dinners.

More than ever before, 2020 has brought home what is essential. Caring for each other is essential, YOU are essential.  I’m really glad our paths have crossed.

We continue to work tirelessly to increase our efficiency and expand our product line, and we thank you for your patience and support as we improve our efforts to deliver the experience we believe you deserve.

It feels as if there isn't enough time to stop and reflect on all we’ve been through and managed to accomplish this year, but in the final hours of 2020 we continue to be kind and do our best.

Thanks for masking up and supporting local farms and food businesses and our local artisans. We appreciate you and wish you and yours a Happy and Healthy New Year.

From all of us at Three Village Farmers Market

Just because 2020 is over doesn't mean you have to take a break from fresh, local food!  We will remain open online for as long as shoppers and vendors participate.  Chocology, a local chocolate shop is also carrying some of our products all week long.  You’ll find, pickles, nutbutters, raviolis, All American Wontons, jam, nuts and of course fresh fudge!

If you haven't tried the Three Village Farmers Market Drive-Thru, today is a good day to start!

With plenty of fresh products available plus local artisan items, we hope you might want to give it a go!
